DISTRIBUTION OF TURNOVER

Export activities further continued to increase for the whole group, during 2009 up to a level of 91%.

Export to European countries further increased from 63% in 2008 to 67% in 2009, whereas export outside Europe slightly fell from 25% in 2008 to 24% in 2009.

Also during 2009, the Gears Division has continued to increase deliveries to the Far Eastern market, through deliveries of railway gearboxes and with an increasing direct shipment and invoicing via the Chinese plant. During 2009, the Transmission division’s export to this market already accounted for 76% of the group’s export to this region.
