MC WATTEEUW NV with facilities in Oostkamp (Belgium), Brno (Czech Republic), Iasi (Romania) and Suzhou (PR China) has all the necessary means, machines and people to supply gears having a diameter up to 2 meters, mounted into a transmission or not. In house heat and surface treatment is possible. MC WATTEEUW NV is a supplier who endeavours to achieve a ‘partner’ relationship which results in lower cost levels, improved logistic performance, technological innovation and superior product performance.

By implementing the business unit concept, each plant is producing several product lines for particular market niches. Each product line has its own dedicated staff, labour force and equipment to serve the allocated market niche. A lot of effort has been spent on building out the engineering skills and capacity, resulting in stronger design and method engineering teams in Oostkamp and Brno, as well as improved testing facilities. The Chinese joint venture Amtech has been supplying transmissions for several railway projects.

The Oostkamp branch is concentrating on its core activities in the sectors of aerospace, turbo compressors and medical equipment. This branch is specialised in large bull gears from 700 mm till 2000 mm.

The division in Brno is further specialising in the transmission assemblies for railway applications, extruders and ski lifts.

The Iasi division has been expanded with the latest CNC production machinery and is capable to fully manufacture high quality ground gears of up to 700 mm diameter. In 2004, a pit furnace for gears of up to 1600 mm diameter has been installed, which enables the Romanian plant to manufacture fully finished large gears.
